On 10/3 the Go Green Club made signs explaining why we need to protect our savannah.
Thank you Wiley families for coming out to support the Go Green and Gardens and Grounds committees with the Savannah Restoration Project. We had 28+ volunteers including 13 Wiley students and siblings. Our efforts were extremely successful! We filled 2 truck beds with ragweed and trees from the Savannah. During our work we found a praying mantis and one very interesting spider. See if you can find yourself working in our garden. These are the plants were in our Piedmont Savannah Garden before we did the restoration project on 9/28/14. Many of these plants are weeds or invasive plants that do not belong in the Savannah, can you identify any of them? Please leave a comment with the plant number (hover over the image) and your answer. Thanks for your help! |
